Building a Vibrant Culture

It was a Saturday in February in Monument Colorado. On that day over lunch, I shared about the journey of our church and some of the obstacles and “ruts in the road” that seemed to keep getting us stuck. My friend Dave looked at me from across the table and said “Jeff, it is hard to lead others to a place you have never been before”. Challenge isn’t always fun, but in the right culture – Challenge has an amazing ability to shape and transform us.

James 1:2-4 says:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Many of us engage with new challenges in both church and everyday contexts on a frequent basis. Sometimes this can become overwhelming and we can be left feeling lost and unsure of what steps to take next. In the middle of our troubles, the good news is that we can have confidence that Jesus is the Prince of Peace and has come so that we do not need to worry!

In John 16:33, Jesus says:

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

We have an online course that discusses these things in much more detail with practical training grounded in scripture. If interested, tap the links below to check out the FREE Taster e-lesson on Building a Vibrant Culture or the Mini Bundle of three e-lessons.
