Discipleship: Intentionally investing in another’s life so they grow to look more like Jesus…multiplying your life into the life of another and empowering them to go further than you. Jesus doesn’t give us a pass on this – each one of us both being discipled and learning to disciple others.
As we look closely at the gospels, it’s clear Jesus invested in his 12 disciples and created missional leaders that changed the world! Jesus formed their character and taught them how to do the things He could do by giving them full access to his life, not just to his teachings. The WAYS Jesus made disciples bore incredible fruit and his very command to us is to go and do likewise! All too often we don’t expect to get that level of fruit as we invest in others! Even more, we take ourselves out of the game by thinking only “professional Christians” can disciple because we don’t have what it takes.
This Equipping Weekend is about giving you tools and training to be an effective disciple maker! If we’re going to reach a broken world with the Good News of Jesus, it will take ALL of us!
This weekend will answer quesitons like this:
- I feel intimidated at the thought of discipling! How can I start small?
- I’ve been discipling for awhile. How can I get a new level of breakthrough?
- What pieces of my life are worth others following?
- What does it practically look like to give access to my life?
- Who should I invest in?
- I’m busy – how can I fit this into my already full schedule?
- How do I make discipes who are actively reaching the lost?
WHO IS IT FOR? Every woman that is following Jesus. You may be a pastor, a leader in your church or workplace, a stay at home mom, a college student, an empty nester, or somewhere in between. You may be a new believer or a woman that has been walking with the Lord your whole life. Someone new to 3dm or one who has been connected to our missional movement for a long time! All of you will find benefit in this weekend!
You will hear teaching from pioneering women who practice what we preach about discipleship and mission. You will have opportunity to listen for what God is saying to you personally through small group huddles. You will be given practical tools to live into how God has created you and what he has called you to do.
It’s a weekend of growth, opportunity, connecting with God and receiving from Him in powerful ways that will equip you for your everyday life as a disciple of Jesus. Bring your friends, your teams, your people. You will leave inspired, empowered, and equipped.
STAND is different than a retreat and it’s not a conference. It is practical training starting with the Word of God and landing on how to live into it. What we hear from women who have attended past STAND events is, “This is not a ‘normal’ women’s weekend.” We’re happy you said that!
We will provide coffee and snacks throughout the event but please come having already eaten on Friday evening. We can’t wait to meet you, be with you, and release you to be the women God has already created you to be! Women made for discipleship and mission!

At Grace Gathering we have been significantly impacted by a ministry organization called 3DM (www.3dmovements.com) in the arena of pursuing discipleship and mission in the local church context. From this investment over the last several years we have developed discipleship huddles, missional communities, and a common discipleship language that is both transferrable and reproducible to people throughout the church.
Many churches on this same journey are looking for places where they can see these principles fleshed out in the local church setting. Because of this, we offer a “Pilgrimage” at Grace Gathering both in the fall and spring. This is an opportunity for leaders and teams to come and observe firsthand how these principles are being implemented, hear what mistakes we have made over the years, what we would have done differently, what has worked, what breakthroughs we have experienced thus far, and simply spend a couple days hanging out with us.
Our motto is, “we are not a perfect example of a church pursing discipleship and mission, but we are at least a living example.” This 48 hour immersion experience is limited to only a certain number of participants with a limit of no more than 6 per church team. We want to have lots of personal interaction.
The next Pilgrimage will take place October 3-5. Registration cost is $99 per person. The registration will be limited, so register as soon as possible. (Please note that if you register by September 19th, this will reduce your cost to just $79 per person!)
Also, we have families in the church that are willing to house participants. Many of these homes are made up of mission community leaders. The cost to stay in a home is just $20 per person, per night. (Please note that these are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and are dependant on the number of host homes available for these dates. We will do our very best to place teams who choose this option.)
For those who want to stay in a hotel, there is a Holiday Inn Express one mile away from the church facility in New Haven (260.748.6767), or there are many other hotel options in Fort Wayne.

The workshop will be led by special guest speaker and missional leader Paul Maconochie, from Sheffield, England – a city where less than 2.5% of the population traditionally attends church. At the church Paul led (Network Church in Sheffield), God used every-day men, women and children to impact the lives of many people through Missional Communities. The church saw numerous people come to faith from all walks of life, including hundreds of teenagers across the city and even many Muslim refugees. As the people of the church learned to pray and to practice community and mission together, a missional movement was started which has now impacted hundreds of churches across the UK and Europe, Australasia and the USA.
In the workshop, Paul will lead a biblical exploration of: Kingdom, hearing from God, relationship between Word & Spirit, and how to pray for the Lord to heal without being wacky or manipulative. The biblical teaching and training will help every attendee go on mission in the name of Jesus, in the power of His Holy Spirit, and under the authority of Scripture.
Before coming to America in 2014, Paul served for 7 years as a Baptist Pastor at St. Thomas’ Church, Sheffield and 10 years as the Senior Pastor of Network Church Sheffield. In the Summer of 2014 Paul moved to the USA with his wife Elly and their two daughters (Grace and Hannah) to work with Grace Gathering Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana and to establish a growing church network called the 3DM Network. In 2015 Paul was also asked to lead the USA team for 3D Movements, which works with hundreds of churches across America to help them develop a culture of missional discipleship.
Paul’s wealth of knowledge and experience makes this workshop a must-attend. Whether you’re a pastor, MC leader, prayer warrior, missional single, or anyone wanting to grow in any of the above, save the date. You’ll leave blessed, edified, trained, and equipped to go on mission in the power of God, perhaps as never before.
Join other missional Christians as we explore how to live like Jesus and continue His Kingdom work… Come learn how to be Naturally Supernatural.
