This Community of Practice is a 3-day Learning Community immersion for churches that have already completed the arc of involvement of the 3DM Learning Community. It will be assumed that participant churches already know 3DM tools and language.
This is primarily a Network event for churches that are part of the 3DM Network in the Upper Midwest and the Northeast, committing to go on the long-term journey together. There will be input from Paul Maconochie, Gina Mueller and other 3DM Leaders, as well as churches sharing best practice with each other. We will be going back through the 3DM arc of involvement over the next two years, but with a focus on deepening our understanding of how to get breakthrough and build missional discipleship movements out of our local churches.
Non-3DM Network church teams can join this event if they are 3DM Alumni (i.e. have completed a full 3DM Learning Community).

At Grace Gathering we have been significantly impacted by a ministry organization called 3DM (www.3dmovements.com) in the arena of pursuing discipleship and mission in the local church context. From this investment over the years we have developed discipleship huddles, missional communities, and a common discipleship language that is both transferrable and reproducible to people throughout the church.
Many churches on this same journey are looking for places where they can see these principles fleshed out in the local church setting. Because of this, we offer a Visitor’s Week at Grace Gathering both in the fall and spring. This is an opportunity for leaders and teams to come and observe firsthand how these principles are being implemented, hear what mistakes we have made over the years, what we would have done differently, what has worked, what breakthroughs we have experienced thus far, and simply spend a couple days hanging out with us.
Our motto is, “we are not a perfect example of a church pursuing discipleship and mission, but we are at least a living example.” This immersion experience is limited to only a certain number of participants with a limit of no more than 6 per church team. It is our desire to have lots of personal interaction with each participant.
The next Visitor’s Week will take place April 29-May 1, 2019. Registration cost is $109 per person. The registration will be limited, so register as soon as possible. (Please note that if you register by April 15th, this will reduce your cost to just $89 per person!)
Also, we have families in the church that are willing to house participants. Many of these homes are made up of missional community leaders/participants. The cost to stay in a home is just $20 per person, per night.
For those who want to stay in a hotel, there is a Holiday Inn Express one mile away from the church facility in New Haven (260.748.6767), or there are many other hotel options in Fort Wayne, as well as an assortment of Airbnb experiences.
