Taking the Jesus-Shaped Journey?
What is the common problem and pain facing disciple-making leader leaders in this day? Simply put it is Culture. From social media to the way people interact with news, a seismic shift has changed the landscape around the church these days. As it becomes harder to navigate day-to-day life as a christ-follower, it becomes even harder to determine what that looks like in leading a whole community of Christ-followers!
Romans 12:2 tells us
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
In response to this cultural earthquake, we need to navigate the terrain around our churches in a new way that helps leaders and disciples move beyond the resistance and fatigue that envelopes us. Finding the balance between living in the world but not being of it can be a hard line to walk. Over the last few months, 3DM Practitioner (and friend) Sean Blomquist has been developing a free introductory e-course that details what it means to live a Jesus-shaped life, while also leading others in this area. This new online introduction provides helpful insights into the challenges being faced by disciple-making leaders in this season of cultural earthquake.
