WHO ARE WE?
Although the movement of Jesus started in the Middle East and spread almost immediately to North Africa, over the last 1400 years these have become some of the most challenging regions for the Good News of Jesus to take root and grow. However, God is doing something new in this region that has not happened for over a thousand years: people from the local religious backgrounds are coming to trust in Jesus in unprecedented numbers through supernatural encounters and the self-giving love of the indigenous church. However, the pressure from their culture and families is so intense that many of these new believers turn away from Jesus before they learn to follow him.
In 2019 Bob and Pam Rognlien, who had been training leaders in North America, received a clear call when leaders from the Middle East and North Africa asked them to come and train the local believers in Jesus-Shaped discipleship and mission. In partnership with local leaders and a regionally-focused ministry, we have now been engaging with and training leaders in this MENA region for the past five years. Due to the sensitive nature of this work, we cannot give more details here, but if you are interested in partnering with us and supporting this work, please visit bobrognlien.com/missionpartners
Training
We come alongside church leaders, missionaries, and business entrepreneurs, investing in them as they learn to follow Jesus' Way of reaching the lost, making disciples, and empowering missional leaders in a hostile environment. We use the vehicle of Learning Communities and other innovative approaches to invest in long-term relationships with leaders so they will thrive in a challenging environment and reproduce in others what God is doing in their lives. Coaching
For churches that have been through a Learning Community and want to continue to stay connected, we have a network environment that feels like family. Part of the blessing of an LC is that churches from various backgrounds are pursuing the same missional discipleship together. The network is an opportunity for those relationships and community to stay strong as we build deeper and longer lasting roots in the calling God has on us.
